Das ist ja das Problem an diesen an den Haaren herbeigezogenen, krummen Analogien: Sie passen halt nicht. Merkt man auch daran, dass Sie selbst nicht im Bild bleiben, Sebastian vergleicht die Verlage explizit mit den Unternehmen die den Strom abnehmen, nicht hingegen mit Stromproduzenten…
Auch wenn ich auf ewig Abbitte leisten muss für die folgende neoliberale Argumentation: Wenn die Verlage Geld für ihre Propaganda wollen, sollen sie halt die entsprechenden Märkte auftun, mithin innerhalb des Systems freie Marktwirtschaft handeln, anstatt nahezu planwirtschaftlich gesetzgeberisches Eingreifen zu fordern. Und wenn sich herausstellt, dass sich das Geschäftsmodell überlebt hat? Na und? Couldn´t care less. Es sind im Rahmen des technischen Fortschritts schon volkswirtschaftlich wesentlich bedeutsamere Branchen eingegangen, ohne dass uns der Himmel auf den Kopf gefallen wäre.

In dem ganzen Artikel ist eigentlich nur ein kleiner Snippet richtig. Und dies

a) nicht mal wirklich zwangsläufig und
b) mit einer flashen Schlußfolgerung:

“Wenn [die Aggregatoren] diese Leistung so gering schätzen, sollten sie einmal versuchen, ihre News-Seiten wirklich nur mit Links zu bestücken. Was wäre die Folge? Das Publikum würde weg bleiben.”

Das Publikum würde in aller erster Linie IHNEN, den Zeitungen weg bleiben. Google News & co sind ein Tor zu Eurer(!) Welt. Begreift das und würdigt das!
